75' Sauna Ritual
First and foremost, remember to hydrate and drink before and during the session. Indeed, the body sweats a lot in the sauna. Therefore, it is important to replenish your water and minerals before, during, and after the ritual. The dry steam bath (another name for the Finnish sauna) reaches an average temperature of 70°C. The session begins with a hot shower, preferably to prepare the body for the heat and rid it of impurities. After drying yourself thoroughly, you sit on a bench near the piping hot stove. A session lasts 10 minutes. Step out and shower with cold water, dry yourself off and rest for 10 minutes. Take the opportunity to moisturize, and repeat this cycle 3 times.
When the stove is hot, you can gently pour a few ladles of water over the stones to release a moist steam.
The skin perspires, the pores open, and the muscles relax. Finally, it's a must to add a few drops of essential oils for therapeutic benefits or simply to relax.
